A beautiful solution to an enduring need...

Flower Weave Necklace

These are exciting, treacherous, and uncertain times we live in. It's times like these when we all should turn to jewelry and enduring value. In an age of the artificial, the over-hyped, the shoddy, and the unreliable, there are few things that endure. One of these enduring things is...pure 24 Karat, .9999 fine gold.

We have a highly evolved and complex system in which real, tangible, money has become an oddity. It's unlikely that this complex system will break down completely, but with the real threat of international political and economic turmoil, and government confiscatory policies, one never really knows.

Around the globe, where political, economic, or civil uncertainties are woven into the fabric of everyday living, people are accustomed to wearing or carrying portable wealth. This wealth is typically in the form of gold...high karat gold jewelry. Jewelry is the insurance policy of choice throughout Asia, Africa, and South America.

The Bullion Collection

That is the rationale behind the creation of The Bullion Collection. It is a line of beautiful gold jewelry made of pure 24 Karat gold. It offers purity, portability and peace of mind.

Thanks to the close relationships we have with Asian craftsmen, we are able to offer elegant, hand-made, necklaces and bracelets of pure 24-Karat gold. They are available in a variety of styles that are very popular in the Far East.

Crafted with classic elegance in the Asian tradition, each necklace or bracelet can be worn by either men or women. Of course, the real loveliness of these necklaces and bracelets comes not only from their inherent beauty but also -- and more importantly -- from their absolute gold purity and fundamental utilitarian value. Each necklace or bracelet contains precisely 1, 2, 3, 4,or 5 Troy ounce(s) of 24 Karat, .9999 fine gold, the ultimate designation of purity.

These lovely necklaces and bracelets are, in fact, a viable supplement to the usual means of gold ownership, bars or coins. They possess all of the merits of numismatic gold coins and -- even better -- can be acquired at significantly lower premiums.

Our Unique Dragon ClaspA Word about the Unique Clasp

The unusual clasp that binds these elegant gold necklaces has a fascinating history of its own. The Chinese call it the Dragon Clasp because of its unusual shape. Of all the twelve mystic signs in the Chinese Lunar calendar, the Dragon is considered the luckiest. This design is also the traditional symbol used by oriental craftsmen for jewelry made of pure 24K gold. Its use is equally unique. Instead of the ends of the chains being mechanically fastened, as is typical in jewelry today, the clasp works with a twist of the gold stem - forward to open, backward to close.

But Isn't Pure 24 Karat Gold Too Soft To Use In Jewelry?

The popular misconception is that pure gold is not suitable for jewelry. (We suspect that this myth was started by crafty jewelers in order to justify adulteration of their gold stock) True, one of the properties of pure gold is that is it quite malleable. However, if handled and crafted correctly, it is not too soft to use in necklaces or bracelets.

The secret is to anneal the gold. That is the process by which our Asian artisans make it possible to create this exquisite gold jewelry from pure 24K gold. It is the bending and shaping into links that hardens the gold. Hardening occurs when the crystal structure of the metal changes. After the jewelry is created, it is burnished for several hours. This process further strengthens the gold and gives it a deep yellow color and brilliant luster. Its great reflective properties help keep its brightness and color from fading with time. Gold jewelry recovered from ancient Egyptian tombs shines with the same luster as when placed there 4000 years ago.

Don't be fooled by inferior quality look-alike jewelry. Our necklaces and bracelets are custom, hand-made to FCG's specifications in pure 24K, .9999 fine gold, not 18K or 22K or even 23K+. This is pure gold and we have assays performed to insure the quality of our necklaces.

A Better Value Than Numismatic Gold Coins

Because of our relationship with the artisans and the absence of middlemen, these quality pieces are attractively priced at a level you can appreciate. In fact, they have a much lower premium than numismatic gold coins of an inferior purity. The bottom line, as you can see from this comparison, is that you get more gold for your money.

Purchased Just Like Gold Bullion Coins

Gold bullion coins are typically priced in direct relationship to the underlying spot gold price at the time of purchase, plus a small premium. From the dealer's standpoint, not much can be done about discounting the price of gold at the moment of the transaction. It is a fixed cost for the dealer. However, there is some flexibility in being able to change the applied premium. Often, the dealer will discount the premium for volume purchases. This is a great benefit to the buyer. It allows the buyer to acquire more gold for their money. Being one Troy ounce or more of pure gold, the price of these necklaces and bracelets is also determined by the underlying spot gold price, plus a comparatively low premium. They can be purchased "just like gold bullion coins," with the benefit of volume discounts. You can find discount information on the Order Form/Worksheet located on the "Ordering" tab.

Another Important Plus: This Jewelry Would Be Exempt From Confiscation

History shows the need for a product like The Bullion Collection. In 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt was inaugurated as president. The U.S. economy was on the verge of collapse. Unemployment was approaching 25%, and more than 4,000 banks failed. To make matters worse, three fourths of them were Federal Reserve Banks. The year before, nearly 32,000 businesses had to close their doors. From 1929-1933, national production had fallen by 50%.

Panic ensued and citizens began to make significant withdrawals of bank deposits and began hoarding gold. These actions threatened to destabilize the entire banking system.

In an effort to avert this, President Roosevelt ordered every bank in the nation be closed while he simultaneously prohibited the paying out of gold or any dealing in foreign exchange. A few days later, he met with Congress to confirm his actions, and then he passed the "Emergency Banking Act." The previously established "Trading With the Enemy Act" was invoked to justify the government's actions under the premise of national security. This gave the President, as well as the Treasury, complete control over all transactions in gold and foreign exchange.

In April of 1933, another more shocking executive order was issued. This Executive Order demanded that U.S. citizens surrender all gold coins, gold bullion, and gold certificates to the nearest Federal Reserve Bank within 25 days. The punishment for failure to comply with this order was a fine of $10,000 or 10 years imprisonment, or both. This ushered in the end of a 141-year era of circulating gold coins as an integral part of the U.S. monetary system.

For the remainder of 1933, Roosevelt and the Treasury issued more regulations and clarifications on gold forfeiture. One exemption was authorized that permitted the holding of gold under a special license for use in specific industries, by professionals, and by collectors of rare and unusual coins, i.e., numismatic gold coins.

The ability of U.S. citizens to own gold was restored in 1975. However, there are laws on the books to this day that could take away, at any time, the freedom of individuals to hold gold. The exemption granted to numismatics could be eliminated with the stroke of a pen. But can you imagine the government trying to confiscate your wedding ring? That will never happen. This is one of the needs that The Bullion Collection meets.

How Pure Is Pure?

Since ancient times, the purity of gold has been defined by the term "Karat." This measurement uses a base of 24 units. Pure gold is (24/24ths) or 24 Karats. The U.S. marking for gold purity on a piece of jewelry is expressed in Karats and abbreviated with a (K). The Federal Trade Commission mandates that all jewelry sold in the United States as gold has to be described by a correct designation of the Karat fineness or purity with a tolerance variance of only + or - .003.

For example, alloyed gold is mixed with other metals and therefore is not pure and must be identified as either being 22K, 18K, 14K or 10K. To clarify, when an item is identified as being 18 Karat gold, it simply means there is 18 parts gold and 6 parts of alloy (75% pure). An item that is 14 parts gold and 10 parts alloy is regarded as 14 Karat gold or 58.5% pure. It's interesting to note that jewelry that is less than 10K or 41.7% gold, cannot be legally sold as gold in the U.S.

When it comes to getting the most gold for your jewelry dollar, 24K jewelry represents a significant value, especially when compared to similarly styled jewelry of a much lower purity.

Jewelry: A Private Form of Gold Ownership

In terms of privacy, these gold necklaces and bracelets are the perfect choice. They are exempt from the U.S. 1099-B reporting requirements with which other forms of gold ownership are burdened. For example, individuals selling (25) 1-ounce Canadian Gold Maple Leafs are required to disclose their name, address, and social security number to the purchasing dealer. But there are no 1099-B reporting requirements for jewelry.

A Gift of Gold to Be Worn and Enjoyed

Looking for the perfect gift for someone you love?

A beautiful solution would be our 24-Karat gold necklaces and bracelets.

More impressive and striking than a check, more practical than gold coins, 24 Karat gold necklaces and bracelets are an elegant way to show your friends and loved ones that you care about their future.

Giving gold coins is a beautiful gesture, but a gold coin is usually treated as a keepsake and ends up in a safe deposit box never being used in a practical way, never to be enjoyed. Yes, The Bullion Collection necklaces and bracelets can be a treasured keepsake, but at the same time they can also play an equally important role as a store of value and emergency money.

The 24K Jewelry Alternative

If you want to own gold that wouldn't be confiscated like bullion bars, coins or even possibly numismatics, 24 Karat gold jewelry is your answer. If you are attracted to the merits of numismatics but would rather not pay the high premium of numismatic coins, The Bullion Collection necklaces and bracelets certainly deserve your consideration.

The exceptional merits of these beautiful 24-Karat gold necklaces and bracelets make them a logical choice for gold ownership and...A beautiful solution to an enduring need.
